Principal's Welcome

Flying High Together

At Maltby Manor Academy we believe that by working in partnership with parents, pupils and the community, we can enable our children to achieve the highest standards and best outcomes to which they are capable. Our creative and engaging curriculum aims to excite and inspire children to learn about the world in which they live.  Enabling real and exciting experiences which brings their learning to life helps them to understand that through working hard, they can achieve their goals and aspirations.

We strive to help our children to have the best possible approaches to their learning. Through the use of our ‘Learning Behaviours Code’ and ‘Rights Respecting’ focus we support children to build their independence and be positive about the challenges they face in their learning and in the wider world beyond school; developing their personality, talents and abilities to the fullest. Our effective and high profile student leadership team take real decisions about the school and impact positively on the lives of all our pupils. By enabling our children to work together, persevere and develop strong team working skills, we can make sure they are ready to succeed as they move through the school to their next phase of education.

As a Maltby Learning Trust school, we work closely with our partner schools to offer our children an experience which is as varied and exciting as possible.  We offer a range of experiences where children can develop their music, dance and academic skills and have the opportunity to perform for others as well as meet children with similar interests in different year groups.  Through the Maltby School Sports Partnership we are able to offer children a range of opportunities to both develop skills for a wide range of sporting activities and have the opportunity to compete in inter-school competition.

We are committed to broadening the experiences of all our children and so that we can achieve this, we ensure all pupils are given opportunities which are beyond those normally experienced in school. For example, every child will have the chance to take part in an out of school visit every term, enhancing their understanding of the varied world in which they live. We guarantee that all children will make progress at our school. To ensure this happens, we carefully measure and review the progress of every child to make sure that each individual is getting just the right amount of challenge they need – If a child is struggling or needs further challenge we will adapt their provision to make sure they achieve success. Sometimes children need additional support to help them succeed; our dedicated pastoral and SEND team work with children across the school to ensure their learning and emotional needs are catered for.

At Maltby Manor Academy we want our children to be proud to be members of the school community. By creating a sense of pride we aim to make sure that, within the context of a safe and caring school, all our children will strive to work together to become the very best they can be – making sure we can all Fly High Together.
