Welcome back after the summer holiday. We have got lots of exciting work to do in this half term and we hope you are all raring to go.

PE - Wednesday – swimming.

Lessons begin on Wednesday 13th September and will take place at Maltby Leisure Centre in the morning before lunchtime. There will be no opportunity for the children to purchase tuck on these mornings, however, your child may bring their own tuck to eat either before or after their swimming lesson, depending upon timings.

Please ensure your child has a towel, swimming costume and cap in school every Wednesday, otherwise they will not be able to accompany their class.

Thursday -please provide indoor and outdoor PE kit. Black shorts and plain red t-shirt, pumps or trainers. Outdoor PE kit can also include plain black tracksuit bottoms for colder days. No Jewellery of any kind.

# ACHIEVE

To celebrate any special achievements we have a #ACHIEVE wall. Please send any certificates, trophies or medals in so we can take a photo.

The Indian in the Cupboard

Our Learning Journey is based around the story of the Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks. It is about a cupboard which brings toys to life. Find out about the adventures Omri will have when he brings his Indian, Little Bull and the cowboy, Boone to life.

Science

Our focus for Science this half term is Electricity. We will be identifying common electrical appliances and learning how circuits work. We will also be investigating whether materials are conductors or insulators.

Homework

Your child has a Homework book with a list of tasks which they can choose from to do at home. The aim is to complete one task a week or six per half term.

Personal Organisers

These should be brought to school each day.
