Carla Peace
I am currently a community governor at Maltby Manor and I have been an active member of the governing body for five years. During this time, I have seen the school change after it’s inspection in 2014, to a school that has the children’s best interests at heart with a very driven management team and a dedicated staff.
I am a former pupil of Maltby Manor and it holds a special place in my heart. Both my children have attended Maltby Manor, my youngest is currently in year 4 and thoroughly enjoys his time there. I can bring parent’s perspective to the table and I have good links with parents at the school.
I have a particular interest in early years, as a qualified early years practitioner. I am currently studying a PGCE in Early Childhood Education and Care in order to become a specialist Early Years Teacher. I am a former teaching assistant of Maltby Manor and have six years experience working within an early years/ school environment.
I feel passionately that all children no matter what their background is deserve the best chances and opportunities in life and that it is our role as governors to ensure that Maltby Manor provides this for our pupils.
