PARENT CONSULTATION - RSE CURRICULUM

The Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education (RSE), which is part of our programme of study. These changes came into effect from September 2020 and, due to COVID-19, all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements from Summer Term 2021.

We review our RSE curriculum and policy annually so we can be sure our provision is appropriate for all our pupils based on their:

  • Age

  • Physical and emotional maturity

  • Religious and cultural backgrounds

  • Special educational needs and disabilities

We engage parents in an annual consultation of the policy to ascertain their views on the teaching of RSE within the curriculum.
