Year 3 travelled back in time to experience life as a Greek child for the day. It was fantastic to see how much time and effort had gone in to the children's outfits as they dressed in traditional Greek clothes to sample some games that may have been played at the time of the Ancient Greeks. They loved trying games such as Morra, Knucklebones and Tiddlywinks. After playtime, the children were given a chance to sample some of the Mediterranean dishes that may originate in Greece such as feta cheese, olives, houmous and pitta breads. The clear favourite was the feta cheese and pitta breads whereas the olives were not particularly liked by many of the children! All in all though, the children fully engaged with the day and had a brilliant time. Thank you to all of the parents for supporting this day - the smiles on the children's faces were beaming throughout!
