On the last Friday of term, Y3 visited the Yorkshire mining Museum. We looked around at ground level and then travelled in a lift right into the mine. We wore helmets and had lights so that we could see where we were going. We loved it down there and were sorry to come back up to the surface! We also got to meet some of the pit ponies who used to work down the mine.
