Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is a government initiative that provides schools with additional funding (about £l,385 per year for six years) for every child who has been able to prove they qualify for it.

The funding is targeted at students who are from households where families are claiming or could claim Free School Meals, families who have a parent/carer in the armed forces or children who have been adopted or are in care.

The Academy is responsible for making sure that the money for that child is being spent to improve their education. Our Academies have used this in many different ways in the past couple of years to help the learning of all the children who receive this funding.

Students are eligible if they have been adopted, are in care, a parent/carer is in the armed forces or if they are entitled to Free School Meals.

Each eligible students brings £8,310 into the Academy over six years and it will be used to benefit their learning. Proof of eligibility must be provided by parent/carer.
