🔬🔥 Year 5  Science this week!

We’ve been exploring irreversible changes and developing our understanding of chemical reactions.

The children investigated bicarbonate of soda and vinegar, observing the reaction produce gas that inflated our balloons 🎈. They also explored combustion, seeing how setting a material on fire causes a chemical change that cannot be undone.

This hands-on work helped develop careful observations, predictions, and a deeper understanding of how substances change permanently. 🧪
