Cash for Kids is working with Textile Recycling International to encourage environmentally friendly behaviours and support underprivileged children!
We’re looking to recycle clothing and other textiles that might have ended up going into landfill, and by sending more to be recycled we can help protect our environment. Plus, for every tonne collected Cash for Kids will receive £400 to help us continue our support for disadvantaged children.
Around 1.75 million tonnes of clothing waste is produced in the UK every year, and about 1.2 million tonnes of this is sent unnecessarily to landfill. You can help us get these numbers moving in the right direction.
The campaign will start on the 7th March and children will be able to bring in donations until the 21st March. All donations are to be left in the Main Entrance.
Here is what we have planned for Red Nose Day on 18.03.2022
Alongside the collection for Ukraine, we will also be a collection point for soldiers.
The items that can be donated are - Warm socks, roll on deodorant, sweets, magazines, puzzle books, pens, soap, tooth paste/ brushes, shower gel & Positive messages
